Sewing sewing sewing....

Sewing sewing sewing, I have been destroying my little fingers the last two weeks sewing...bits and pieces of robots have been flying all over the place, hopefully total construction will begin on Sunday...

Yay! All finished! Only 10 more to go!!!! I'm beginning to sound a bit bitter aren't I?  I do like making my robots, I just prefer working on weaponry and secret Death Rays.

Animal Dumplings!!!

Now it is no secret that I really love food, particuarly Asian food (what a surprise!) and dumplings are a particuar favourite, so easy, just chuck into a steamer and hey presto! Snacks!  So when I came across these great animal dumplings that are served up in Taiwan (no one ever hears about Taiwan anymore it seems...) I just want to go there for these:

Ahem. Anyway, a favourite hobby of mine on a Sunday arvo is to go to the Asian food store, so much excitement, so little understanding of what I am actually buying.  However on Sunday I bought these:

Yep, chicken dumplings, full of this:

Hmmm...it's probably best not to read it actually but I just like that flavour enhancer is written flavour enchtancer...however while I was eating them and contemplating whether or not I could actually finish two of them (note: I couldn't, one and a half was more than enough) I remembered the piggy dumplings and fuelled by this inspiration decided then and there to make my own chicken dumpling! Mould! Little hands mould!!!  And ta daaaaa!!!!

 My chicken dumpling!!!  Yes, I even added soy sauce for his eyes...finally the dumplings looked as they tasted....And they say you shouldn't play with your food...
Actually, I can't believe I'm really posting this, it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

 

Crap photos of New Tees

I have been busy with lots of stuff lately, which will be seen at a later date, but what I can show you are 2 new tee designs that I have pumped out.  The first is the Rabbit tee (we have made contact...now all I have to do is get into the burrows....):

This tee is also available as a hoodie, which is essential in our crazy weather at the moment.  Apparently it is only going to be 11 degrees on Saturday which brings a weakening of my determination to have a stall at Salamanca this weekend...is that wrong?

Perfect Headquarters No. 1: Cave of Crystals!

What a great hideout!!! I was watching SBS last night and came across Mexico's Cueva de los Cristales (Cave of Crystals) on World News which contains some of the world's largest known natural crystals—huge translucent beams of gypsum as long as 11 meters.  Perfect for feeling superior, plotting the downfall of the world and practicing your manical laughter without tipping off your neighbour as to your occupation.

My Gosh! How did the crystals reach such huge proportions?! I hear you ask? 
Apparently the crystals thrived in the cave's extremely rare and stable natural environment. Temperatures hovered consistently around 58 degrees Celsius, and the cave was filled with mineral-rich water that drove the crystals' growth.

Modern-day mining operations exposed the natural wonder by pumping water out of the10 X 30 metre cave, which was found in 2000 near the town of Delicias.  And I am glad to be able to tell you that once scientists and geologists and all the other ‘....ists’ involved in this kind of things have completed their studies the cave will be refilled with water and preserved.  It’s not often that a mining company make me warm and fuzzy...but wonders will never cease....
