RU1014

RU1014 Log:
Oh, Master, I am too happy for words!!! I have found my father!!! Even though you told me that he died when I was very young in a hideous military manouver that went very very wrong (you were quite vague on the details if I remember rightly), I always felt he was still alive, waiting for me....and here he is!

I know the similarity is uncanny!!!! Forgive me HiiRagi, if I take a few moments to spend with him before returning to the cause...I know you will understand...

HiiRagi note: What do you say to a robot who thinks a cardboard cut out is his father?!  I'm starting to think letting him out on his own may have not been my best move...If you see him, send him home.

HiiRagi loves Hisae Iwaoka

Hisae Iwaoka is a Japanese manga artist but what I really love are her little creatures.  It's really hard to get any info on her but I was lucky enough to buy a book in Japan called Tokyo Girls Bravo (if you see it anywhere buy it, it's great!).  Her little toys are miniature, I'm talking anywhere from 2 cms to 20 cms, how she sews them I do not know, I wouldn't have any fingers left...Here are some examples (sorry, they are really bad reproductions but how could I leave them out?!) :

Now she also (obviously) draws comics too, but here is my personal favourite:

Now I know you can't read it (you can get a better view by clicking on the image) but I really love the layout of this, and basically it is about  how she escapes from reality by sewing.  My favourite panel is the bottom left hand because it reminds me of my sewing space, the text running along the bottom simply says 'stitch, stitch, stitch, stitch....'  I can also identify with the mangled pin pricked finger in the middle of the right hand page...I'm thinking of using this kind of layout for my own little comics...when I finally get around to them....

Commission Fan Art

As I was saying the zombie with an axe was a present for a great minion named Alex and as a token of his love and appreciation to the HiiRagi cause he has drawn a great piece of Fan Art.

How awesome is that?! I like the drool and the crossed eye.  Nice one Alex!!!!!

HiiRagi does Commissions

As we all know I love getting commissions, particuarly ones that I would never think of doing myself.  However I also love it when people want weaponry.  One of my favourites so far is an Occupational Force with Katanas for Oskar.  I'm kicking myself for not getting images of it but you can check it out in various poses on the Silver Nutmeg and Golden Pear blog (scroll down past all the Matildas stuff).  However another commission I have recently completed I DID actually photograph.  This armed Zombie was for Alex, and I'm hoping he liked the chunky zombie axe...

blblarg...mmrf...aarhhhggggg....

it's all in the crazy crazy zombie eyes....i think the yellow one is full of pus....yummo!!!!

Notes from HiiRagi HQ

There I was, sitting in HQ, happily sewing my little fingers out, when I looked at my little Recon Units waiting for their legs to be attached and was hit by the thought 'daleks'.  What do you think?!

The bright light helps to make them look sinister (really its just that old poor light situation that I mentioned earlier in the blog somewhere).  Just imagine them sliding  over the surface with nothing but 'Exterminate' on their minds.  Don't worry, their legs were finished late last night and will be attached later today so the dalek dream will be over...Still they look kinda cute all legless and stumpy....

RU1014

RU1014 Log:
You will be happy to hear Mighty Leader that I survived the hole in the wall, through great dangers and obstacles and have found myself in Hosier Lane, where a kind group of artists took me under their wing...

There is much to do with this art, oh great one, and I feel that we must take our message to the street (though I believe this is Recommendation 4.4.5 of the HiiRagi Mainfesto of World Domination).  Yours is such a mighty and just cause that it is cruel to not inform the poor inhabitantsof this place of your brilliance.  Lucky for me, these artists have taken me under their wing and I grow in skill with a spray can as seen in the photograph above.  I will show you the type of work here so that you may see, oh great HiiRagi, how your powerful and convincing propoganda would blind them....

I will report back with more later, the artist have grown suspicious of my relentless questioning interrogation and use of a high beam torch in their faces.

Back to the Drawing Board

Lately I've been having a little bit of a crisis with my products.  I took a hiatus to go forth and take a break with the army and get back to knowing them again.  World domination was simply taking too much focus.  It does take a lot of time and effort to build a secret death ray and draw up plans to destroy the stupid people of the Earth and I forgot what was really important, which is spending time with my lovely army.  As part of this, on our training camp I started to draw the guys as they trained and worked together to make my dreams a reality.  Here are two of my favourites so far:

The guys out on patrol, aren't OF's googles cool?!

A dashing image of OF in a plane...oooeeerrr....

There are a few more in the pipeline, but you will just have to wait and see ....I love my army.....of course their unconditional love of me doesn't hurt either....actually maybe I just love being the leader of a robot army....as I said, I've been having a bit of a crisis....another flaw in the meglomania personality type I suspect...

HiiRagi loves Koralie

I really do love the works of Koralie.  Her dolly style girls are just beautiful and the landscapes they sit in are amazing.  Of course I'm taken with the Japanese style of it all too, with influences from manga through to traditional illustrations.  She actually also does street graffitti and occasionally works with Fafi (don't you just hate it how all these talented people seem to be really good friends and hang together?!  ).  Her website which has four different visual themes to choose from (I had to go into the site four times just to see them all and, after having spent A LOT of time looking, still can't pick a favourite) is well worth checking out.

Envelope thingy...

Being self centred, I rarely manage to become 'involved' in anything but apparently it's good form to be 'involved' with others.  So when I heard about the Meet me at Mikes Envelope thing I figured I'd have a go.  Here is my little effort to be part of the Crafter network...
And here is the stuff I put inside (minus the portable record player all the stuff is sitting on, it was the only place in HQ where there was light, you know how us types like to skulk around in darkness.  It's all very atmospheric but not very practical)...

For those who look closely you will see one of the new drawings that I have been working on and developing.  I would also like to say that I didn't call RU1014's whole report "mindless drivel", just bits of it like his recommendations at the end, as if I need a cookbook.  I would also like to say that despite his efficiency as a Recon Unit, he does have a taste for being melodramatic so just ignore him.  Have a good weekend (see how 'involved' I am now?! It's like I actually care about people, I am SO diabolical...).

RU1014

RU1014 Log:
Greetings oh Great One, I am most sorry at so disapointing you with my last report - 'mindless drivel' I believe were your exact words.  I will endevour to not make this mistake again and as such will go beyond all expectations to prove my worthiness to you, as proved by this photo:
See how I am going into the dark hole to investigate with little to no regard for my own safety and wellbeing.  Who knows where this leads? But for you Master HiiRagi, I would go even if I faced certain death!  I will report again should I survive.
Over and Out.

HiiRagi's Triumphant Return!!!!

Hullo minions!!!
I have finally returned to HiiRagi HQ after a gruelling team building exercise in the wilderness of the world.  There is much to report and many new developments on the World Domination map.  The robots trained very hard and I am most proud of them, in particular RU1014 and Keith the Zombie.  Their missions will be continually reported and updated (just like a sponser child) so you know how they are going and what they are up to. In fact, here is a little taster of the Adventures of RU1014...

RU1014 Log:
Master HiiRagi, I have found a mighty red arch that must be the entranceway to a rival leaders headquarters.  You will be most impressed with this arch, but I must search further and gather information that will reveal if they are friend or foe.  There are a great number of  minions around, I believe that this leader uses food to lure and capture his minions, this will intrigue you, my mighty leader.  We are yet to try this method but I believe it to work.  I have been to Noodie World and the noodles were quite delicious.  The diabolical nature of this technique is that the food fills and tires the eater, resulting in an almost coma like trance.  It was in this trance like state that unfortunately I was caught by surprise by a defense mechanism.

You will be most displeased by this I know, but it just shows the crafty nature of this 'Chinatown'.  The stone dogs were very ferocious and I was lucky to escape with my life.  My recommendation is that you should purchase a cookbook, All Mighty One, and get some dogs.
Over and Out.
Resistance is Futile.
